15’January’2018 witnessed the departmental visit of Public Administration under the guidance of the faculty Ms.Preeti Agrawat to the village panchayat of Durjaniyawas, Jhotwara Tehsil, Jaipur.

Visit to Durjaniyawas, a village some 25km from the college imparted students with the real life of village ,the administrative set up and the challenges thereof.

The students were attended in the administrative block by the Sarpanch Mrs Santosh, the panchayat secretary, school principal and the anganwadi representative.

They briefed about the various processes and procedures of the elections, meetings, paper work, hierarchical orders and requests, road connectivity, hospitals, schools, implementation of various central and state sponsored policies and schemes.

Durjaniyawas village panchayat has a higher literacy rate of 76.70% and the entire village has the baked brick housing system.

The budgetary system included various schemes such as SFC Pancham, Fourteen Finance Commission recommendations and the grants and loans given by the state government.

Other active schemes consists Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, MGNREGA, Paalna Yojana, Vridhavastha Yojana, Bhamashah Pashu Bima Yojana and some related to the infrastructure, health and the education sectors. They have also maintained 20 Anganwadi centres for the betterment of the women and children. The innovative feature of the village is the practice of rain water harvesting by all the farmers.

The actual working of the administration implemented in the lowest organ of the government in a democracy was a worthed field experience for the 64 students and promoted the practical knowledge to be gained further as well.
