Objective: 

 

Course Objective : To develop an understanding of Disasters and Disaster Management , Strategies ,to learn the international and national policies, institutional mechanisms in disaster services , to understand Sustainable Development concepts.

 

Learning Outcomes:

  • Analyze skills and abilities to analyze potential effects of disasters and of the strategies and methods to deliver public health response.
  • Describe, analyze and evaluate the environmental, social, cultural, economic, legal and organizational aspects influencing vulnerabilities and capacities to face disasters.
  • Apprise on the global issues and initiatives for Disaster Management and Reduction.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the International Strategy for Disaster Reduction and to increase skills and abilities for implementing the Disaster Risk Reduction Strategy.
